Oh ja, Tyr war halt ganz einfacher durchschnittlicher Metal wie er häufig ende der 80er, Anfang der 90er gemacht wurde. Die alten heroen konnten nicht mehr so wie sie gerne wollten und neue waren noch relativ rar gesät. Ich kann mich an wenige gute Metal-Alben aus diese zeit erinnern.

Die "Future World"-CD besteht doch eigentlich nur aus Krachern: Future world, Yellow rain, We came to rock, Needles in the dark... Gerade das ist eine CD, auf der sich kein schlechter Song befindet.  Allerdings ist das eher die Ausnahme und meistens taugt nur der erste Song, den man kennt - weil sich der Rest der CD genauso anhört...

 

Manowar-Clones dürften nach deren Charterfolg jetzt auch aus jedem Proberaum krabbeln. Eben noch Nu Metal, jetzt Manowar-Metal, da freut sich jede "Fahne-im-Wind-Kappele".

...und ich hab mich totgelacht als ich das Video zur Maxi gesehen hab (ok, der Raab-Auftritt war schlechter)... Manowar sind halt Poser ohne Ende.

Aber "Kings of Metal" liebe ich persönlich total, weil es das erste war, was ich an Metal gehört habe ... da war ich ungefähr 6 oder 7 und weil es meinem großen Bruder gefallen hat, mochte ich es bald auch und hab ein zwei Jahre später "Warriors Prayer" mit ihm in verteilten Rollen gesprochen ... der Sohn hat ja nicht viel Text

Kennt hier eigentlich noch jemand die schweizer Kapelle Krokus? Die hab ich in den frühen 80er gehört. Habe die Platte aber mal vor sehr vielen Jahren verliehen und nie zurück bekommen, leider!

Es gab eine Zeit, da haben wir uns vor dem eigentlichen Spielen diesen Song bei Megalautstärke reingepfiffen um danach genüßlich alles niederzumetzeln was uns nicht freundlich gesinnt war.

Das gleiche galt übrigens auch für die Charaktere die wir spielten

Habt ihr schon mal "The Osbournes" gesehen? Ozzy als Spießer. Wie klasse. Und genau wie bei Mötley Crüe bei den Monsters damals ist jedes zweite Wort f*****. Richtig zum weglachen.

Skyclad hab ich auf nem Metal Meeting mal live gesehen. Ziemlich abgespaced, aber ganz cool. Auf Dauer aber recht anstrengend.

 

Die Osbournes ist wirklich lustig. Angeblich hat Ozzy für ne Fortsetzung 20 Mio verlangt.

Interessant.

 

gestern in der Bild am Sonntag las sich das ganz anders. Da hieß es sinngemäß, dass der böse Rocker Ozzy Osbourne lieber auf Tournee geht, statt bei seiner Frau in der Chemotherapie zu sein, weil er es nicht ertragen kann und die Bühne braucht.

 

Phil Collins hat das als "Both sides of the story" bezeichnet.
